Founded in Colorado in 1967, Lowe Alpine began as a small pioneering brand created by the Lowe brothers, who sought to revolutionize the way heavy loads were carried in the mountains. Their early ideas, such as internal frame backpacks, influenced generations of technical packs and made Lowe Alpine a respected name in the outdoor world.
Over the years, the brand has established itself as a benchmark in hiking, mountaineering, trekking, and challenging adventures, with backpacks designed to offer comfort, stability, and performance, even in the harshest conditions.
In 2011, Lowe Alpine joined Equip Outdoor Technologies, a British group that already owned Rab, bringing together two strong outdoor heritage brands under one roof. Since the acquisition, the two brands have shared a common vision of innovation and quality, while each retaining their own identity and expertise: Rab focuses on technical clothing, while Lowe Alpine concentrates on high-performance bags and carrying equipment.
Today, Lowe Alpine continues to design carrying solutions inspired by its heritage of innovation, with the same goal in mind: to enable every adventurer to get out more often, further, and more comfortably.
